BVRLA report: drivers uncomfortable sharing data on their driving behaviour
A recent report from the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA) has found that despite the fact that 95% of drivers are happy to share their data with a third party if it helped to diagnose or prevent faults, 44% are uncomfortable sharing data on their driving behaviour and performance.
While there can sometimes be stigma and suspicion associated with monitoring the performance of individual drivers, the benefits far outweigh the costs.
In reality, behavioural data from vehicles is most commonly used to help ensure driver safety and to praise individuals who meet or exceed their KPIs.
Operational efficiency can also increase significantly with real time data analytics and solutions like Mobile Resource Management (MRM). Its single platform approach helps businesses connect the front-end to the back-end by gathering real-time data insights to supercharge operational efficiency for fleets.
