Mulholland enjoy 2.5% efficiency gain and expect £50,000 fuel saving

When it comes to saving money for your business, no gain can be too small.

This is especially true for fleets, where small gains can be applied across all your assets to become significant savings. Mulholland Contracts provides a perfect example of this.

By using Ford Telematics powered by Telogis, Mulholland was able to monitor wide range of performance metrics - including speed, hard braking or acceleration, excessive idling, seat belt use, and engine temperature - in real time, to make more informed decisions on route planning, scheduling and driver performance, improving operational efficiency. The result – a 2.5% bump in efficiency and a 5% saving in fuel, the latter equating to more than £50,000.

This system also helped improve safety and compliance across its fleet. GPS location data allowed Mulholland to keep track of vehicles’ status at all times. This not only helped them lower potentially costly insurance premiums, but also to track their vehicles if they disappear off the grid. The company recently had one of its vehicles stolen, and by tracking it via the Telogis platform were able to report its location to the police, who picked up the vehicle undamaged.
